Default OMG, Watts link...Watts link, OMG!!!

A little about my car, it already had Koni shocks, Strano springs and sways, aftermarket LCAs and adjustable PHB. Spacers to give about 1" extra clearance front and rear since she's a DD, dont like scraping if I dont need to. Okay, the car is my DD and probably wont see a track whether its a drag strip or an auto-x or road course for another year or so. I havent had a chance to throw the car around much since I installed my MWC Watts link, just going to and from work. That all being said, what a difference just driving over bumps and imperfections in roadway surfaces. The car feels so much more civilized, I'd gotten used to how the car felt and now I wish I had installed a Watts link long ago. Bumps are absorbed and the rear end just soaks it up, its almost plush while still being firm if that makes sense. I've owned 5 4th Gens over the years (8 Camaros total) so not much surprises me when it comes to the platform, this does. I think the first couple days I was driving around with a confused look on my face lol It feels like a different car. If anyone is on the fence about getting a Watts link, do it! Granted, I'd recommend at least shocks and sways before a Watts link since the stockers blow. Since I've just installed it and have only been driving around town I cant comment on how the car feels at the limit or even after a short WOT blast. For me, it was money well spent and I enjoy driving my Z even more now. Thanks, James

good to hear your experience. thanks for sharing. Assuming you installed this on your stock 10 bolt? Any interference, any pics?

Yep, stock 10 bolt. Had to grind down the brake line tabs so the clamps could be secured, though that is true with any Watts install iirc. No interference, no need to use a spacer to gain roll bar clearance. I'll get some pics either tonight or tomorrow.

Yeah, I totally agree. Watts link makes a world of difference. I've had my MWC one on for about a year now and am I am still totally happy with it. Wait until you adjust the roll center around a bit. It's crazy how drastic in makes the car change its whole attitude (as far as tail happy or pushing). Here’s a link to my thread/review: https://ls1tech.com/forums/suspensio...installed.html

I actually read through your thread before I bought it. I'm using the center hole so there is plenty of adjustability to be had. Waiting until I can throw her around a bit to get a feel of where I want to go. Out of curiosity, what made you switch to a Turn One power steering pump?

I am running 315 wide tires up front and was overheating the stock one. Was just pissing fluid out of the cap all the time. Plus the turn one gives a little better feedback with the slowing down of the pump.

That is a good looking Midwest Chassis watts link. Shows tons of room for exhaust clearance.

I'm also curious about the spacers... I had no idea that was a thing but could use some, myself!

im super upset about not getting a watts link with my MWC fab 9. there is no way to install one if they didn't attach the mounts when they were welding the housing

Couldn't you use the brackets like you do with every other rear end?

no becuase it has the triangular back brace. midwest chassis welds mounts to their rears. they said it can't be added afterwards.

Dang, good to know when looking for a used rear. Do you know if that is just because of the back brace or is this true for all MWC rears that didn't select the watts link option?

I've read most of these threads on the watts link specifically Midwest and would like to know for those who have logged some miles if they had replace or perform maintenance or worn parts?

I've had the MWC Watts link going on three years now and no issues to report.
