Default Sway bar bracket with 9in

Anyone have a 9in with a stock sway bar? What did to use to mount it? I have the brackets that go around the axle tube. But can't seem to find the right size bushing bracket.

I did have a stock bar with my 9". My bracket was welded on the axle at that time. I assume the issue you have is that the bar won't clear the center section. I used the stock bushing and clamp and put a spacer between the bracket and the clamp. I also had to grind a bit off the sleeve for the bolt holding the torque arm on.

Now I don't have that setup. I have a different bar and a UMI bracket that spaces the bar farther from the axle. I have it rotated to get the most clearance. IMO you don't need a different clamp, you need to make a spacer which may require using a longer u-bolt.

This is my issue. The bushing bracket isn't wide enough for a 3 in u bolt

Check out the "universal" sway bar bushings from Energy. You just buy them based on your sway bar diameter, and they come with brackets that are slotted (like in the picture below). You can see on their website the exact range of spacing those brackets fit to make sure they will work. But I just used them on a stock F-body rear end and the U-bolts are right near the narrowest end of the slots, so there is lots of room for wider U-bolts like yours to fit.

We have the option of these for a weld on option. It is what we use with all our fabricated housings to eliminate the muffler clamp style.

One of the bigger pita issues with the 9" in an f-body.
