Time for some new brakes all the way around. Looking for suggestions

The brakes on my car (98 T/A) are pretty terrible. Pretty sure the front rotors are warped too. I'd like to upgrade the front and rear without breaking the bank. The car isn't driven very often. Also, I'll be drag racing it quite often. I've searched a lot but most posts I come across are 5-10 years old. I'd like to buy some that are lighter too considering I'm about to put the car on a diet but I don't think a lightweight kit would be in my $250-$350 budget. Any suggestions? Thanks

Autozone Duralast Gold Rotors and Gold pads work great on all of my vehicles. Cant beat the price either!

Hawk HPS pads with Centric Cryo-Treated rotors (from Tirerack). I used to have issues with warped rotors all the time. Never again after that combo. The rotors have enamel on the non-swept areas, so they won't rust, and they are hard enough to hold up to the pads. You won't shed any weight though.

i have centric blanks. i believe they are cryo as well. super good value.

Check out eBay Brakemotive. No issues from 2 vehicles I've used them on.

Have you considered corvette calipers up front with larger rotors? I think WS6store sells the required spindle brackets for the upgrade.

Or the ATS upgrade? No spindle brackets needed.

Hawk perf hps pads from ws6store and brakemotive rotors here. They do great for stock applications without spending to much. I spent less than 300 shipped to me and installed myself. Can't beat that imo.

While I think they are the best bang for the buck brake upgrade available to us, I have almost $800 in my swap including new rotors and pads for the rear. I think in his case, new pads and rotors for the stock setup is about the best he's going to do on his current budget request.

Here is my ATS/C7 list:
Used calipers with good pads - $160
New rotors - $118
4 custom made adaptors, 15mm - $265
Caliper paint - $30
Stickers - $5
Caliper bolts - $6

According to my bathroom scale the stock rotors were 19.5 lbs and the new ones were 21 lbs. New calipers were .5 lbs heavier, for a total weight gain of 2 lbs per side.

Holy crap I just talked with you yesterday about this same setup lol. I still love the color combo on your calipers too.

Hey, nice to see you here! Thanks again, thought I might get some hate for the purple/pink but it matches the hawk stickers and I can take it haha. I did a few 60-10 stops with them today and they felt good.

Its crazy what gets blasted on here and the facebook pages and what doesn't. I've thought for a long time that's why we don't have any visual aftermarket support.

I should be getting the majority of my parts in today and Tuesday, I can't wait to see the difference.

Who made your adapters and what did you do to paint the calipers

If you're asking me I got them from motorsport-tech and I used G2 caliper paint.
