Default Ss brake lines front only?

Is it okay to upgrade only the front lines to stainless steel? I’m doing a ctsv front brake conversion.

Will this affect brake bias?

perfectly fine, upgrading to the much bigger and stronger CTS-V set up will absolutely change your bias though.

For the better or worse? I’ve read that our cars tend to have too much rear brake with the stock setup.

Not it sure if V calipers and SS lines will even it out or over correct the issue.

I just did the c7 Brembo upgrade on my car and only did stainless lines on the front for now. It stops okay but I didn't properly bleed the ABS block. Once I delete it I hope the brakes bleed out better and help the really spongy pedal feel.

What’s the purpose of deleting the ABS?

Racecar reasons, people delete it to save weight. Others have issues when changing the rear to an aftermarket set up with the sensors not reading right so they just delete it.

Mine has never worked since I bought it 5 years ago. It works in here because you have to activate the abs while bleeding the calipers so instead of worrying about that I’ll just kill 2 birds with one stone and delete it.

How do I activate the ABS while bleeding the calipers? I’ve bled brakes before but I’ve never activated the ABS.

I was told that you need to use a Tech 2 tool or find a way to have the abs activate while you are trying to bleed. IMO its a garbage system thats antiquated and full of issues. I would rather delete it and know that its never going to work again lol.

Easy way to activate it is to just find a somewhat slick surface (wet parking lot), get up some speed, and slam the brakes on as hard as you can. That's how I bled the ABS block on my Trailblazer whenever I did brake work on it. Did it at work, usually

I like a gravel lot myself for that purpose haha, done it many a time. Tried to bleed the ABS on a few silverados and the scan tool says codes active, cant do. Scan all modules and there are no codes, hit a gravel lot, perfect brake pedal. Assuming you did a proper base bleed.

My problem with that is my ABS has codes up all the time and never works. So basically its just a useless blockage to my brake lines at this point.
