Default UMI Torque Arm #2205 on S60 - Can't get bracket on!

I'm having a really rough time trying to install the rear torque arm bracket on to my S60 rear. It just does not seem to be wide enough. I've tried grease, BFH, not even close. Any tricks?

OK, I got it in. Sanded the powercoating and it went on. Still took some hammering, but I got it.

Did you trim it? On my spohn mount I had to trim the inboard holes off and use the more outboard holes.

Like Biketopia said, it is fairly common to have to modify the rear bracket to fit the s60 rear. Here is a diagram we use, but I'm sure UMI's piece is very similar

UMI directions don't explain that and you can't download their directions online either, a win for BMR.

I put mine on at first to find it hit the floor and then took it back off and cut it fit my Moser axle and powder coated it again.
