Default FOUND - Stock Fourth Gen LCA ABS Sensor Retainer

I've been searching for this part forever, so I thought I would share the event that anyone needs/wants one.

The stock Lower Control Arms on the Fourth Gen F-Bodies have an odd stacked conduit clip, which holds the front ABS lead as a stand-off. I broke one and have been searching for the replacement for a long time:

I was able to find some new old stock for the part, which is a Stacked, Arrowhead Conduit Clip for a 6mm conduit over a 9 mm conduit. Part number 12045796. (The part was made by Packard Electric Division, which became Delphi, which sold to Aptiv. Aptiv now has the part number.)

It looks like these things are discontinued, although Aptiv may still put them out for people in a special run with a 1000 part minimum.

As you can see from the picture above, I have a little rust. I may get a deduction for that at the Pebble Beach Concours d'Elegance, but hopefully this proper factory part will still keep me in the running for the top prize.

I wonder if anyone has tried to 3D print some of these out of production parts?

Theoretically one could. Aptiv used to post measured drawings for all these parts, but they are harder to download recently. It looks like the conduits have spun off again to yet another company, HellermannTyton. HellermannTyton doesn't seem too interested in posting information or specs about these parts...

It looks like Aptiv is in the process of gradually shedding part numbers off to HellermannTyton vs. dumping everything all at once.

I now have 24 extra. lol

I get the impression that this may have only been used on F body LCA's. Or that may have been one of the last uses for GM.

I stumbled across this thread and I think I found another source. Lukesouther.com, look in their online catalog, currently page 79b, OEM PN 12045796, their PN 94515, 10-pack. But it looks like you have to submit an online form to get pricing.

I found this place also in my search. Either they were out of stock or one has to register as a legitimate auto repair business with a line of credit, etc. I can't remember which one was the barrier.

If anyone knows of a vendor who would take the stock of me and offer it to the community, please let me know! (At this point, I have what I need and would rather pass on the remaning 45 clips so they are out of my shop.)

The hydralics/pneumatics industry has tons of stacked tube supports,,, Wont look like the chevy one, but a lot of them are stainless.

Yes, those are easy to find, but they don't have the feature of having a stand-off from the lower arm.

Do you still have some of these abs stand off clips, I’ve been searching for them awhile now, and ran across this page. If you do any way I could purchase 4 of you. Thanks

I think I still have them. I put them in a special safe place and can't find it. I plan on spending some time in the shop this weekend and should come across them. Please ping me on Monday if I don't post back.

I think I may have given my supply away with some other parts. I'm checking to confirm and see what the status is.

Bummer, guess I’ll start searching for just another GM clip that will work, a zip tie works but like something a bit more better looking. Thanks for replying back.

If you look at the picture, the part is just a #6 retainer stacked on top of a #9 retainer. You can still get a "Delphi #6 Rosebud Clip" and it will hold the conduit just the same - it just won't have the stand-off from the LCA.

Thanks for looking, I found on Amazon for $15 assorted 65 piece GM wiring harness clip set, I’m sure one of them will work.

This is the regular Size 6 clip, but it looks like they are also now getting harder to find in singles. (This site has a minimum purchase of 3000!) https://www.mouser.com/ProductDetail...KJ9dTN4Q%3D%3D

Here's one that's in-stock and should fit. https://www.mouser.com/ProductDetail...jeJ68E9Q%3D%3D

Clips and Fastners also sells it: https://www.clipsandfasteners.com/GM...D-p/a19795.htm
