Dumb Question: What's + and - Toe?

Two dudes at NTB, the guy doing the alignment and the guy behind the counter, said
+ toe = toe in and
- toe = toe out.
Is this correct? Because my "before" specs were -.24 , and when I had that done 2 months ago I asked for toe in. But it sure did feel twitchy on the highway.

I'm only familiar with toe in and toe out, I don't know (and can't find anywhere) how that equates to + or -

In any event, my car now has +.06 right and +.05 left.

Thanks!

This is correct. Here's a pretty good link on alignment specs: http://www.tirerack.com/tires/tirete...eral/align.jsp

Sweet - that means the car is good now.

I was confused because in June, I got an alignment and told them to put it 1/32nd toe in on each side. Then today, the "before" numbers were -.

And that sure does explain why it was so squirrely on the interstate with the previous alignment.
