What is available for braided brake lines?
I have a 99TA with TCS (6 brakes lines).
What options are there?
The only ones I've seen were from Goodridge for $182.
Does anyone know the part number for it?
Does Earls or anyone else make a 6 line kit?
Should I get the 5 line kit and just leave one of the rubber lines to the axle in place?
Any info would be appreciated.

Actually, I've found no good reason to take the TCS system out of the car. Simply pulling the TCS fuse out from under the hood will deactivate it everytime you crank the engine.

One good reason is to get rid of the weight of all that crap. I guess it works sorta all right on the street, but every time I race it screws up, and I'm fed up with it. And even on the street the GM ABS can kick in at the wrong time and cause you to hit something.
For those that want to be able to turn it off and keep it off, wiring a switch in series with that fuse might be a good idea.

Cal, pull your TCS fuse and it will never screw up your race again. Easy as that.
If you sometimes want to use it, SLP sells a device that plugs in behind the switch to turn it off every time you crank the engine, but still allows you to push the button to turn it back on. It was like $35-$45. That's a lot easier than wiring up a switch and running the wires into the cabin.
I agree with you on the ABS. It seems pretty primitive on the F-bodys. For that matter, the TCS is also primitive. Now the vettes have a very nice, smooth TCS system.
I'm wondering if the braking system couldn't be improved with some tweaking of the computer software. Has anyone looked into that?

How beneficial are braided lines, in all actuality? I'm not doubting them, but I just want to know if it is worth the money.

I'm also interested in knowing what's the main advantage of upgrading my lines. I drive at a mild rate, lol. I'll be doing maintenance mods soon on my brakes, so if it's not worth it then holla back. Thanks in advance.
