Default Air Ride system questions

I am semi looking at the Air Ride Technologies system for the 98-02 f body. Does anybody have it. If so, how much lower is the car with the system all the way up. Also, how is the ride?

i wouldn't consider it. You'll alway run the risk of blowing a bag, air leaks, etc. Not too realiable as i had a 99 integra with air bags. Too much hassle, not reliable... its up to you though. I tell you from experience.

Ride was nice...till a bag blew

Good Luck

i agree, unless you find an air cylinder kit (a shock type air system without bags) for f-bodies, dont do it. The bags go often and replacing them isnt cheap. I think about 70-80 bucks a bag. The ride is nice but as mentioned above, they're not reliable at all. I once saw an air shock kit sold by rksport but they dont have it any longer...........it was four air shocks, each adjustable, by a dial installed in the car. i really liked them but i knew no one who had them and they were gone by the time i got around to upgrade my suspension. again, dont get the air bags, unfortunately they are not worth the hassle.

I thought about the airide stuff too, but really not worth the money. It seems drop springs and good shocks, or coilovers is the way to go.
