Default How long to aftermarket rotors last.

Looking at my car my KVR's look very brown they dont have that shineyness they used to. Theres no hairline cracks anywhere. so my ? is how long should these types of rotors last crossdrilled/slotted on a normal daily driven car no racing. If they do need to be replaced can they be turned or do you have to purchase new ones?

thanks

Aftermarket rotors last the same amount of time as stock rotors do. If they look brown not shinny, that means your pads never touch them, which is something to be concerned about unless the car has been parked for a long time.

In my case with my '85 IROC, only the front brakes were working, but it seemed to stop fine. One day I noticed my front disks were shinny, while the rear disks were brown; that's how I got the clue. I did have a couple close calls with panic stops . . .
