BMR or G2 SFC's for low clearance...
My car's lowered about 1.75" and I've got the RS body kit, so needless to say i have pretty low clearance but I really want to put some SFC's on. I've heard that SLP really has bad clearance issues, however someone suggest the LGMotorsports G2 w/ v-braces. Not too sure about those though. I was looking at the BMR Low Clearance SFC's which looked good. I just don't want to get some shitty SFC's due to clearance issues. I'd like to have solid ones that have excellent clearance (at least as high as the Y pipe). Any suggestions? Thanks.

I've got BMR boxed SFC's and they are about as low as the ground effects for my sport package. My $0.02: Get the boxed, have them welded in, and enjoy.

I can't attest to the clearance with your body kit, but I do know that the tubular SFC's will generally get you the best ground clearance. My Global West SFC's (which I believe are very similar in design to the G2's) don't sacrifice any ground clearance whatsoever. As a matter of fact you can't even see them unless you look under the car. So, my .02 would be to go for tubular if ground clearance is a concern since they can tuck up into the door sill cavity nicely. I think (not 100% so please confirm before taking my word on it) that the G2's use a larger tube diameter than the BMR tubular, which, assuming similar wall thickness, would make them more rigid.

So, it looks like i'm going with the tubular, and I guess it is just up to my preference in whether I go with the G2's or BMR's? Or is there some truth in what Fulton1 said about the G2's being larger in diamter than the BMR's and therefore more rigid? Thanks a lot guys.

If you are going with a basic tubular design, there are a lot more options than G2 and BMR. For example, Spohn sells some that are pretty lightweight and can even come in Chromoly. And Global West sells some that are pretty big compared to most. So at least look around.
