Default 315s 17x11 prokit and rubbing?

Anybody else have problems with the ZR-1s 17x11 with 315s rubbing with the prokit. I have beat down the wheel house some but it still kinda rubs, and bottoms out sometimes. Any suggestions or ideas? Thanks

Smaller wheel/tires or raise the rear end up. I hate ProKit springs . . . .

no problems when I had that combo. Did you get an APHR also to re-center the rear end? Hell, with that, my buddy ran 17x11 with the sportline kit and no problems.

Yea i bought the BADZ Components Double APHB, wacked the fender wells alittle and we are all good, Unless the tank is full, me and a person over 180lbs rides, it slightly rubbs. But i can deal. I am going to bang on the fenderwell alittle more just to make sure.
But thanks alot guys for your feedback.

Use the APHR to get the rub marks equal on both sides. Then hammer them to get clearance. If the rear rides a bit low, try these:

It does 2 things, it increases the ride height as well as increases the spring rate. Both of which the Prokit needs.

are these proven to effective? Also, has anyone had one "flyout" due to extreme load?

A solid chunk of metal is pretty effective.
Seriously, They do a real good job, even the rubber ones like this:

They will only slide into place if all the tension is removed from the spring, so once the cars weight is on them, they can't move around or fly out.

They are just tools, basically. I tried a lot of different combinations in my car. I ended up cutting about 1.3" of coil of my rears and then added 4 metal spacers per spring. I ended up with a 26.25" rear ride height and a 170lb rate. Which is what I was aiming for. Here's a pic of my car.

I can give you specifics on calculating the rate change as well if you want to know.

that would help.thanks pm if you want.

question, if you cut the spring, the rate changes. But them it is again changed by the spacers correct?

stiffer shocks?? a buddys SS does the same thing he wouldn't listen to me when i told him stock shock arnt stiff enough with the car being lowered, so one day the fender cut the tire and he finially listen to me and problems are gone.

The stock DeCarbons allow more uncontrolled body motions than say a Koni or Bilstein. Switching shocks can reduce total compression in the rear (on the same dip and same speed) by 1/2" or more. If it just barely rubs with the stock rear shocks on a dip or bump, better shocks can probably eliminate it.

It's not really that they are stiffer, it's just that they can control the body motions better (better low speed damping). It makes the whole car feel less floaty as well.
