suspension for comfort
My 2000ss convertible was lowered by a previous owner and rides horrible. Stiff plus bottoms out on everything. Still has the original shocks. Rides like an 84 z51 corvette.
My father in law has a 1998 ss convertible that rides and drives
great but is way too high. What are my best options. I want a stock feel with
a decent drop. Can you cut stock springs? Should i just look for original ss
suspension? Thanks for any help. I did search on here and another site but
most of you seem to be looking for a more performance oriented suspension.
Thanks

^bump for jim^
I have a 02 Ws6 with stock suspension, 42K miles. I would like a more comfortable ride with the stock springs (ride height). Could someone recommend shocks that would do this for me?

jims73z, if you want a cadallac ride, use factory springs along with bilstein rear shocks and either them or koni SA up front. Those shocks can handle lowered springs as well, but you have to identify what springs you have now to know what rates you have.
Just remember, the lower you go the stiffer the springs need to be to keep from bottoming out.
