Trans mounted torque arms do the job well enough on a stock car, but at your power level I would look into a chassis mounted arm. High power + good traction = damaged trans tailshaft. Chassis mounted arms do transmit more noise, however.

I will let you know in a week or so..I am getting the Spohn 405 w/front loop...and that piece is chasis mounted. I hear that this piece is real strong. I have a H/C car making good power and I will be spraying 100-150 shot on it. I talked to a couple of sponsors and they said that it cleared pretty good....not near as bad as the BMR trak pak. I was looking at this piece, but did not want to weld, and the torque arm has crap clearance.

PM me in about 2 weeks or I will try and hunt you down.

For almost 10 years I have been hearing of this phenomenon and reading that it can happen ... but I've never actually seen a post by anyone who said that it happened to them.

Anyone out there actually had this happen to them and their car?
No hersay ... an actual victim ...

As an alternative, does anyone here have any experience with the yank cross member? Any thoughts on it? This way you can stick with a stock style T/A, but the bracket mounts on the modified trans x-member and off the tailshaft.
