Default Do poly tranny mounts make your car rattle or vibrate?

I just installed my poly tranny mount, and at speeds over 40 the car has a slight vibration. Everything is tight. Is this a usual thing for a poly tranny mount?

Yes you'll feel a little more vibration in the shifter with the poly mount.

That is why Energy Suspension quit offering the trans mount w/ theyre kits. I have heard nothing but horror stories about using poly trans mounts. I wouldnt use it if I where you.

Well, i kinda already installed it. I also noticed the vibration to be bad when ever you're at wide open throttle.

I installed one and do not like it... wish I wouldn't have thrown away my stock one.

I have ES ploy trans mount modified. The nubs have been grinded down and the preload plate left out. It doesn't vibrate all the time, just at certain rpm's such as 3k to 4k. That's it.

I went with ploy because @ 36k, my stock one broke (don't remember how, i put the wheels to full left or right and tap the gas, it makes a clunk noise)
Then I went with a SLP 1LE trans mount, that broke in less than 100 miles. Then I went with GM 1LE trans mount, that broke under 150 miles.
I don't know why but it seems like everytime i go WOT, it breaks it.
Then I put in a prothane trans mount, that was too stiff and it vibrated too much for my liking.
Then I brought a used ES modified trans mount and have been happy with it, no breakage or vibration problems unless I get in the upper range which doesn't happen normally unless someone pisses me off on the road

i have an energy poly mount and it doesnt bother me a bit. its been in for a year and doesnt vibrate at all... or maybe i just dont remember what the stocker was like... the poly mounts do break in over time and the vibrating goes away.

I too run a ES one with the preload bumps cutoff and the left the plate out. There is a little vibration in the drivetrain when the car is in 3rd, but nothing I can't live with.

My suggestion. Pull it out and cut the bumps off.

I took mine out in the driveway when I got home from putting it in at work on a lift. I ended up with a 1le and I'm very happy with it.

So cut the bumps off and keep the "spacer" plate or no spacer plate?

Mine vibrated like hell immediatly. Awful. Replaced it with stock. It's a 5 minute job to switch it out once the car is up on stands.
