Question red clipers??

I’ve painted my calipers several times with red and every time the color disappears. What is the best way to paint it so it will last longer?

you need to be sure that you clean them completely. use some strong Simple Green type cleaner, a small wire brush and then a sprayon brake cleaner.

Let dry completely. mask off the areas you don't want paint, like hoses, rotor (if you're not taking the calipers off to paint) and wheelwell.

Use VHT engine paint. good for up to ~1200 degrees.

take the link in the sig to see mine, from several years ago

like he said, make sure its really clean. your gonna wanna primer it too esp with red. ive got some pics of mine from when i did them this summer. had to redo it cause i did it when it was cold out last time and the paint didnt cure. do it on a day thats about 70 deg or warmer and make sure you let it dry.
