Default 30mm or 32mm Front Sway Bar Bushings

I want to upgrade the bushings in the front end. I don't know if I need the 30 or 32mm bushings on the front sway bar. My sway bar is stock on my 00 SS. Thanks for any input.

There should be a sticker on the sway bar. If its got this number on it 26032907 you have the 1le 32mm sway bar. Don't know about the numbers for the 30mm but I had this same question a while back and found some info on www.1le.net[/url] under part #'s. Hope that helps and good luck!

Damn...I won't be able to look at the sway bar for a while. It's in storage for another 3 months at least. Gotta love upstate NY's winters. I have been ordering a lot of stuff to have ready to install when spring rolls around.

I talked to a sales tech at Spohn and he said that only 1LE cars had 32mm front sway bars and they didn't make a 1LE car in 2000. That is the year of mine.

Your right they didn't make it for the 2000 year model but when I called slp and asked them the same question they told me that they put them on some 2000 year models. They said in that year they done some mix matching. Must be true because mine is a 2000 also and it has a (1le) 32mm front but a non 1le rear which turned out to be 19mm. Sounds confusing but hey mine was mix matched like he said it could be! So how can I argue with that? One thing I was able to do and you can also try it if you want is call the dealership ask for the parts department and give them your VIN # and my dealership told me what the replacement part numbers were for the front and rear sway bars. Quess what? It turned out to be 32mm front and 19mm rear! I was trying to find out because I wanted the correct polyurethane bushings. So I ordered the 32mm front and the 19mm rear and they fit perfect! Don't know if yours will turn out like mine did but wanted to let you know what I was told and what I actually found out what I had. Good luck!
