About to install LCA's question

I just got my BMR LCA's and yes I did search for this first, but I can't find where anyone has said what kind of grease to use to prevent these from squeaking. I have the rubber/poly bushings and I need to know what to use on the poly side. Do you use a petroleum based grease, or will that dry out the bushing and cause it to crack? Do I use a silicone grease? Or what about a lithium grease, or do they dry out and crack. I am about to put these on tomorrow morning so any inputs would be greatly appreciated. I really want these things to be squeak free.

You're supposed to use synthetic grease on poly bushings, or so I heard. I did on mine, no squeaks after 20k miles.

If your LCA's don't have zerk fittings you can use anti-seize.
I used it on all my poly bushings on both front and rear roll
bars and they never squeak.

two more quick questions what is synthetic grease composed of? And also mine do have zerk fittings so any inputs as to what grease?? Or at least what is the primary makeup of the grease?

You can get synthetic grease at any autoparts store. I do not know what it is composed of. I have used Mobil 1 and Valvoline synthetic grease.

Over the years I've used everything from regular old el-cheapo chassis grease to Mobil 1 synthetic grease on poly and never a problem. If you don't mind spending $5/tube, pick up some Mobil 1 or Valvoline Syntec chassis grease at the auto parts store. That'll work just fine, but if you want to go the cheaper route and use some Lithium grease I wouldn't worry about it.

the stuff I used was I believe called "marine" grease looks clear and it's super sticky to prevent it from being easily removed, looks like the same stuff you get from prothane when you get poly bushings
