Question I need a new caliper ?

What's the difference between "loaded" and "Unloaded" calipers? My right front caliper is frozen up on my 96 Camaro.

Loaded are "loaded" with pads. Unloaded will just be a caliper. If you are not replacing them both, I'd not get the pads (buy the unloaded and reuse your current pads).

Is it the caliper that's frozen or the slider pins? The pins are usually what sticks and replacing the caliper will not cure that problem.

What's it doing? (How do you know it's frozen?)

It's definitely the caliper. It took me forever to expand it enough to slide it off the rotor. Then I took the pads off & tried to push the piston in more and it wouldn't budge. I put a new caliper on tonight & everything seems to be fine

Glad you got it fixed. I just wanted to make sure you were headed in the right direction.
