LOL Sorry, but that's funny. To your question, you could always put on the springs / shocks / sways. That'll help a lot. The Vette is a lighter car though, so it's going to be tough to get right in line with it.
Good luck though.

to make it handle like the Z06 you need to loose 400 lbs off the car, move the transmission back between the rear wheels, get rid of the fixed axel and install independent rear suspension, go to 17 x 9.5 rims in front and 18 x 10.5 rims in the back, lower the car about 1.5 with stiffer springs and new shocks, install the c5 calipers and rotors on the front and add 75 horse power. that should about do it...... but for that money you can buy a z06

LOL, that's pretty funny, and that's about it guy.
What IS true though is that you can make your f-body into a world class handler BIG TIME, it just won't handle as well as a comparably equipped 'vette, but you can have a GREAT handling car nonetheless.
I spent somewhere around $2200.00 bucks for my suspension, and let me tell you that I got me a world-class handler, I'll mess with a Z06 in the canyons or at Willow Springs anytime nooo problemo...
Doesn't mean I'll BEAT him though

I think PG45 has the cheapest solution... =)
In addition to doing springs, shocks, sway bars... you'll wanna do a panhard rod, LCAs, subframe connectors... I dunno if an aftermarket TQ arm helps any in the handling dept.. might wanna find out from mitch or kevin. If you really want to get serious, you'll want to have heim joints all the way around... and you'll also probably want to do a custom coil-over kit... look at LG's stuff ------------------>
Hope this helps as a starting point.

Swaybars, shocks, springs, alignment, wider tires/wheels, Heim jointed LCA's and PHB and careful tuning and tweaking. You will not wind up with a Z06, but you'll wind up with a damn fast F-body. There are several of us who can point you in various directions. We've all used slightly different things, but the cars are more similar than different.

I was not trying to say that you'd run with a Z06 with those changes, just that it's the path to increasing the performance of the car towards its ultimate limits.

Thanks for all the replies. I just love the way the Z06 handles. You go through a turn and everything in your body, and everything you know about physics tells you that you should be sliding off the road, but it just stays planted. I know it would be difficult to achieve the handling of a Z06 but I just want to know how close I can come, and just get an idea of how unrealistic that goal is. Thanks again for the feedback, I know next to nothing about suspension, I have a lot to learn.

With the right springs, shocks, sway bars,tires...ect, you can make your car handle better than a Z06. At our open track days you cant through a rock without hitting a Z06, we routinely lap them.

I still suspect that's more driver than car. But still fun.

Having owned both I dont think you can. With any reasonable amount of money anyways. Go test drive a z06 and youll see.
