Default BMR K-member and A-arms on street car?

Are these items that necessary for a H/C street car on a Nitto that will see limited track visits? Is there a noticeable difference from the missing weight w/ them? It seems like a lot of money just to shed ~40lbs and get some added header clearance.

I felt the difference after the BMR K-member in the
way the nose lifts on launch and the steering effort.
It's also not nearly as solid feeling anymore on rough
pavement. It shakes. The A-arms aren't as big a weight
savings as the K-member is. Also the header clearance
depends a lot on the header. I had a Random Tech
high-flow catted Y meant for stock cars; after the
K swap this would not fit, because the "ears" on the
BMR piece stuck out -more- than the stocker in one
spot and that was where the cat was located. Up
front, more room; back by the K mount points, less
in spots. Something to check into though I haven't
seen anyone with headers complain, just my RT Y.

Would these mods make a noticeable improvement in helping an M6 car hook on the street?

My car will lift the wheels on the street with the extra weight off the front end.

Hmmmmm....No offense, but I call BS. You cut a 1.81 60' on a prepped track and want us to believe you can yank tires on the street? I'm not saying its impossible, but thats a pretty bold statement. You got any pics? It would be awesome if you really could do it.

again not on nittos on et drags. The car hooks so well on the street it won't do a burn out it just pushes through the front brakes. why would i make something as dumb as that up anyway?

It will be at the track for the first time since jan this week, after a bunch of mods.

No need to get testy bro, I just don't think its a likely story. I think more likely what happens is your front brakes won't hold the power so when you foot brake it it pushes the front wheels and combined with the weight transfer it might look like you lifted them. Go do it and take a picture. If my car would do that I'd have that **** as my avatar, thats crazy!

Like I said, I bet you pushed a tire and combined with the weight transfer it might have looked that way. My GN does it all the time.

I just wanted to see a picture, or maybe a video. I'm not calling you a liar or anything, just saying maybe that other guy was mistaken. But whatever, its cool.

I have had BMR K-member, upper and lower control arms with QA1s on my car for almost 2-years. No problems. This one is on Nittos with a 6-speed.

Take the pissing contest to PM's.

Now back to the original post.

The BMR works great on my car. Been on the car for nearly 2 years without issue.

IMO, the BMR lower control arm's are the only one's I'd use on actual full time street car. The other stuff is light.. a little too light for the occational pot hole

As for the K-member itself, I would recommend the BMR followed by the AJE. They both are re-enforce around the a-arm mounts, which doesn't make them the lightest, but it does make them more streetable.

Hmmm......I think that might be the cake for me, the K-member and A-arms are next on the list. I'm very concerned with making my car hook as well as possible. Are you on a 12-bolt or 9"?

Now to decide if a tq.arm will help on stock 10-bolt w/ Goodyear GS-D3s....

That was with the stock 10-bolt with 4.10s (may it rest in peace), 1.72 60fts. I now have a Ford 8.8.
