Default Best Suspension Mod For Traction?

Aside from tires, on a stock ride height car, with what mod do you see the most improvement in straight-line traction? LCA's? Shocks? Subframe Connectors? ??

i bought the adjustable because it lets you set your pinion angle and the different pinion angle depending on how modified your car is, can affect your launch, better or worse.

Is a torque arm worth it on a car with near stock power?

Yeah I would say a torque arm. I would like to see a set of Relo brackets on a stock height car. I think they would help. Or a set of Lakewood LCA's. That have the extra bar so you can set a preload. I know they work wonder's on 1st gen Camaro's. Here's a link to what I'm talking about.

sit back and take a look at your torque arm and the job it does in your suspension, look how its connected to everything and then you tell me if you think its worth it...

Everyone is forgetting !front sway bar. It helped me to the tune of .1 off of my 60", which equates to about .2 off of ET. And best of all, it's FREE.

Other than that, BMR LCA's and SFC's and a pair of ET Streets get me into the 1.9x's on a stock converter.

So on a stock suspension car my money would be spent best on a Torque Arm first? I was thinking LCA's, but it seems the consensus is that a Torque Arm helps more. Eventually though I plan on having a Torque Arm, LCA's, Panhard, and shocks but can only do one at a time and right now I have wicked tire spin thru first.

An anti-rear swab bar is the most important part of traction after tires.

Don't know how you guys can say a torque arm is more improtant than an anti-rear sway bar. You got to have a strong enough rear bar to keep the car level and both rear tires with same or almost same downward weight at launch.

If you don't believe this take your rear bar off and try launching.

Front anti-sway bar? Don't think your car knows it has one after it leaves the ground. The rear bar is the key!

I never said a thing about touching the rear sway bar. It takes a lot more than most people have to pull the front wheels, and the author of this post never said anything about doing so, so the !front sway bar mod would be pretty good for him, as it would allow the front wheels to drop more, and more weight to transfer.

There are NO local guys running in the 11's with an F-Body who're running a front sway bar. Seems to be good enough proof for me that it works, not to mention my own gains.

Removing the front sway bar! Now I understand. Yes, remove it!

I thought you meant you needed it from your wording.

TQ arm?
rear sway bar?

duuh.. niether of thoes will have anything close to the same impact upon launch as QA1s.

bone stock rear suspension.. i mean stock TQ arm, stock LCAs, stock everything back there except tires.

and QA1s in front.

consistant 1.6 60s........ (if you have the power)

basicly, on a stock setup, your TQ arm is more then close enough.
the LCA control angle on a non lowered, non saggy spring car, is good.
the most important things you can do at that point is weight transfer.

basicly, dump the front sway bar, put QA1s on it, and stick some ETstreets under it.

Which QA1's? There seem to be a hundred of them! Does it affect your ride height?

they make one specificly for the 4thgen Fbody. they call it the Generation "F" Series

ride height is adjustible. you can raise or lower the front of the car with them.
