is there a better price on a tq arm then this? go jegs! http://www.jegs.com/cgi-bin/ncommerc...07&prmenbr=361 adjustable, removes it from the stock mount, this is what i need done.. and 304$ is the cheapest ive seen... has anyone foudn any cheaper? for my 10bolt auto this is really all i need.. prolly dont need a 600$ bmr extreme tq arm |
i ahve seen it before looks good but i dont know how it mounts |
its a tunnel mount, similar to an alston |
is that good? surely better then stock mounted right? looks like it would clear most exhuast as well. |
looks like that one you have to drill alot of wholes!!! |
looks like one that will clear most exhuast.. dual or single ive seen.. |
Good, find. The one pictured looks like it will work with duals but it says that it mounts where the factory saddle mount is (tunnel brace?). If is tunnel brace mounted and not tunnel mounted I don't think it would work with alot of duals. |
I believe this one is just like the Alston, it mounts to the trans tunnel (you have to drill the holes). I would call to make sure, but if I'm not mistaken, MAGNUS was running this one before switching to the Alston. It should clear true-duals. BTW, if you do a search on it you will find some info, I know at least a few people have tried it (with good results). |
It looks like it does mount to the tunnel and if that's the case, I'm going to give it a shot since my stocker is bent. I know PSJ had the Alston and it apparently worked pretty well. |
I ran one of those that was non adjustable. It was really great for a stock setup. Worked very well and the duals cleared it fine. When you put SERIOUS power to it though, it fails.. when mine failed i switched to an adjustable alston arm. I am still using the jegs tunnel mount hardware. |
seems like a tunnel mount torque arm isn't the way to go, wouldn't the tunnel or floor just flex ALOT when you launch?wouldn't seem to be very consistent, maybe with a low power car but certainly not a higher powered one........my.02 |
Hi It would seem to me that the slidder would need a rubber boot to prevent it from eventually getting dirty and siezed. Other then that it looks nice. JA |
Keith how noisey are those things? |
Mine doens't seem noisy at all but its hard to tell as my overall car is very noisy. I think my rear drag bar is what is very noisy. That think is always making noise. |
