sfc's i went ahead and ordered my BMR subframe connectors because everyone on here said that should be one of my first mods to my 98 ttop t/a. but now that i have ordered them and they are going on this week, what kind of new performance or feeling should i get from the suspension?? thanks |
I think the Kenny Brown Double Diamonds are a much better design, but since you did go with the BMRs I hope you got the boxed ones. Much beefer than the non boxed ones. SFC's will stop t-top and dash rattles and your car will feel much tighter when cornering. Mine will toss you around all in the seat! I love mine!!!!!! |
Picture grabbing a thin sheet of aluminum at opposite corners and twisting it and notice the flex. Then again with a ruler fastened along two opposite edges. The sheet will remain much flatter and be more resistant to flexing. This thin sheet of aluminum is analogous with the floor pan of your car. |
did you get the boxed or tubular? I'm think about getting a set, but I don't know what kind. I want to go lower sometime soon, so should I get the tubular? Or is there not much difference? |
yeah the tubular ones give more ground clearence, but the boxed one are much more stronger. |
I ended up getting the boxed for my TA. The clearance issues people talk about is BS. The stock y pipe hangs waaaayy lower than the boxed SFC's. You will notice a change in the way the car feels before you leave where they get installed it. Car feels more solid but drives the same. In a way it makes the car feel....i dunno, heavier? Ride will be smoother in a way, shocks seem to rebound better without you feeling it as much. You will love them. :nod: |
