Tips for installing SFC's??? Already know about having them installed on a drive-on lift, I'm more concerned about things to watch out for? Is there anything I should cover/move while having them welded-in? I think I read a post that said you should cover your fuel lines with something? |
just be mindful of high temperatures and such. fuel and heat is obviously a bad mix, also, keep the welds cool, stitch weld and let cool between. the car's sheet metal is relatively thin (compared to the thick plates on most sfc's) there's also stuff on the other side like carpet that can burn if it gets too hot. i will also point out the obvious... if the sfc goes over the LCA mount... be sure to install the bolt through first.. it'd be a shame to weld them up and have the holes be off... |
