werid noises from brakes
ive noticed when i hit the brakes it makes like a ticking/squealing sound i pulled out the pads to see if they were shot and no they were not so i tryed lubing up the back side of the pads where the piston hits it and it still does it i only tryed it on the front brakes tho, i have yet to mess with the rear but i do belive the sound is coming from the front. But also theres another werid noise when im goin like 5mph without touching the brakes there is also like a lil squeaking noise its starting to drive me nuts. so what gives?

freaking squeaking
my brakes are still squeaking after i fully lubed them up and sprayed the brake quite on the outside of the pads, the pads are fine with alot of beef on em. but i notice the shims i guess on the outside of the pads came off (on the back only, the one outsde pad) so i just stuck it back in place and slide the caliper over it and it is just loosely sitting there, so i dont knw if that has anything to do with the squeaking but it is really starting to drive me nuts i also notice a squeaking when im goin slow and NOT hittin the breaks its liike a ticking/squeaking noise.
what gives?!?!

is it comin from the rear or the front of the car, b/c if it is from the rear you might want to check the ebrake pads and see if they are crap and scrapin the back of the rotors. i had the same problem but i just needed new pads and the rotors rotated and now no squeak at all.

well it rare that you warp the rear rotors since u dont really put as much pressure on them as the front rotors, also i think u will have to pull the wheels off the back and take the rotors off to check the ebrake pads, or you might be able to see them if you can get the car up so you can look underneath and behind the rotors.

yeah my caliper on the front left is loose, it keeps making a bunch of clanking noises and it drives me mad, just waiting for a junkyard to start having these cars, all they have are the 3rd gens, they used to have 2nd gens too! but they got rid of them, i needed those 2nd gen parts too oh and my squeking is coming form the suspension, the reaar swaybar and the busings and such, i just need to take the busings off and grease them, its just to hot to play outside, 100 today witha a red ozone watch, it sucks when you do all your work on the drive way with a tree of shade like on the other side of the property and the ground under it not smooth enough to do anything with!

squeaking problem!
ive been having the squaking problem with my brakes i notice when i barely hit them they make this ticking/squealing noise, but when i push them harder it quits but then if i let off at a ceritan point it contiues? i have tryed everything ive lubed them up i have greased the outsides of the pads lubed the pins everything, and all that does is stop it for like 2 hours and then it coutinues? the pads are fine and i dont think the rotors are warped at all? what could this be could it be something other than the brakes? any help would be great
thanks

I'm having a similar problem
I'm just going to replace all 4 rotors and get some Raybestos QS pads
The pads that shops use are absolute junk, I had to learn that the hard way
