QA1's pogoing on the top end. Set on 0 at all 4 corners with the matching QA1 Drag Racing Springs in front, the car starts riding like a pogo stick in the front end after the 1/8th mile. Also, if I try to street drive them set on 7, the car picks up a NASTY vibration at 70 that doesn't go away until I set the shocks on soft again. What am I doing wrong here? |
If they are regular F series then thats just what they do, as the compression stroke isn't controlled at all with the adjustment dial at 1 (1-12, not 0-12). If they are the R series, time to pull them and have them rebuilt, because the shock has lost it's dampening in the compression stroke. |
Or, most likely, you are seeing a complete lack of rebound control. After all, they don't have tons anyway, and you are running them completely soft too. You aren't controlling the springs at all. Shocks are spring dampers, and the pogo stick says it all. Underdamped springs. The vibration over 70.... I don't think that's the shcoks at all. If it was a lack of damping letting a wheel bounce like a basketball, then firming the shock up should help as it gives more control. A tough one to diagnose, could still be a shock, but would be very strange. |
