Default suspension upgrade gains

So...I've been trying to piece together the best suspension system for a month or two now and i've got it narrowed down and will move on it soon. Before i do it though..I have a question, and i dont know exactly how to word it so here goes.

If someone was to go out and replace all the suspension parts with top of the line upgrades, what would the car then be comparable to? Is it realistic to think that we can get our cars to compete with some of the high end performance jap cars out there? (evo's and STi's)? Or is that simply asking too much from a big heavy rear wheel drive car? Hopefully that makes sense..

Thanks.
branden.

its possible to get our cars on the level of porches and pasta rockets. Just dpends on how good can you drive, how much ride comfort your willing to give up and then how much your willing to spend....in that order.

A car's handling is based a lot upon the comfort level of the driver ... comfort level as in knowing in your soul you can gather the car back up WHEN (not if) you screw up.

After a roll bar install, I gained quite a bit in lap times ...

I see what you're saying..but dont entirely agree. At some point...one car will simply outhandle the other car, regardless of driver comfort level/skill. Thats what i'm trying to ascertain.
