Newb Question! How do you know if you have Traction Control?

Well, I thought I wouldn't have many newb questions since I frequented this board for a long time before I joined (as I looked for an LS1), but it turns out that I have one: How do you know if you have traction control? I don't have a little swich on my dash, I don't think. It's pretty safe to assume that I don't have TCS, because she'll light the tires, but I was just wondering. Is there an RPO code?

Car is a 1999 Z28 M6.

You will have a TCS button below your radio, if not you will have a nice little cubby hole to stick timeslips :)

On a Camaro, the switch is above the radio, right next to the Fog Lights. If you haven't seen a switch, you don't have traction control.

Be thankful, it's useless, and when its off there is a yellow light on the dash. :(

TCS has saved my ass a few times , its nice for those entering the RWD LS1 world from a FWD POS world :)

I can see the benefit of it saving your ass in an A4 car, but an M6 is easier IMO to be safer when it comes to decel than an A4 in slick conditions.

I didn't order mine with it, figured for $400 it wasn't needed we rarely have slick conditions here. Limited traction, yes in ice or snow but not many people run Fbods in snow.

RPO is NW9

My Formula is my daily driver, even in the snow unfortunately, and coming from a FWD 125HP 88 Oldsmobile to a 300HP RWD Formula ... TCS was a nice thing to have for the first month or so and in the rain and soon the snow, But I always turn it off now

Thanks, thanks, thanks!

:werd:

Firebirds have theirs in the little cubby hole beneath the radio.
