Take out the rear springs; they sit in a rubber piece up top. get some 5/8" heater hose. Cut a slit along the length of the hose, and wrap around the top coil of the rear springs. Re-install the springs (without the rubber piece). It is a very easy mod. The most difficult part is jacking the car up....honestly.

Italiano - I think it will lower the rear of the car about 1/2", but obviously the front of the car isn't dropped any.

I didn't cut a slit.............just slipped it over the top coil.

Eibach Pro stance, pretty low in the front. 1 finger at best.

Eibach sportlines. It's the perfect combination of looks and practicality in my opinion.

Any lowering spring requires a different shock; the stock decarbons can barely control the stock spring let alone a lowered one.

Definetly need them with Sportlines if you want to exploit the full capability of them

Prokit, with QA1 adjustable coilovers (JUST installed prior to this mini-shoot, so I didn't have them adjusted perfectly, but good enough) on stock 16" wheels.

bump for a helpful thread

dumb question - if someone used springs meant for an LS1 car in an LT1, would the heavier engine weight the front of the car down slightly lower?

Granatelli lowering springs with stock struts and shocks. I wish that I woulda changed the shocks and struts as well. The ride is horrible but the look is good. I'm considering getting the QA1 Generation F Coil-Over for the front and the QA1 Generation F shocks for the rear. Anybody have these?

Here's mine. Pic and info in sig. With this much of a drop the adjustable torque arm and panhard rod are a must. Without them the pinion angle and side-to-side location of the rearend will be out of whack. I haven't done the shocks yet. It rides firm, but not obnoxious.
