Default '06 Z06 Front Brakes

Does anyone have techincal information on the Z06 front brakes? I was wondering who makes them and, particularly, how the independant brake pads work/are positioned/controled.

I have googled this but was unable to find any information other than it having independant pads.

Theyre made by PBR, same people that make the calipers that are on the car now. Each piston has its own pad, and theyre all the same pad. I dont know for sure how theyre held on, might want to talk to LG about that becuase theyve already replaced the stock system in favor of a stoptech kit.

Junk for anything but BLING get some Wilwoods or Stoptech from LGM

Want to spend 600 for stock pads that are like potato chip thick.

PBR makes them =POOR BRAKING RESULTS

people will make pads PFC is working on it now and Carbotech has shipped some but they are thin and EXPENSIVE! With stock at 600 I doubt race pads will be that cheap so can we say

700+ I never saw a race pad cheaper than an OEM pad

do you think anyone will be brave enough to convert it from a 1 pad per piston setup to just 2 pads per caliper?
