Help! Is this way over priced (Hub assembly ect..)

Default Help! Is this way over priced (Hub assembly ect..)

This is the estimate I got for all new parts but i want to know how much it would cost with used parts, and if i got the parts myslef ,is this somthing I could do myslef?

$24.99 - Lower Control arm Bushing/Kit
$179.99 - Front HUb Assembly
$118.40 - R&R Control arm Shaft and Bushing
$15.00 - Shop Fees
$66.60 - Labor on Hub
$54.99 - Wheel align.

The parts look about average in price. I find National brand hubs and get them for about $110.

It's not hard work to get the lower A-Arm off and can be done in about an hour or less. And getting the bushing out is a heckuva lot easier than getting it in.

The labor on the hub is a tick high. It's 4 bolts and an ABS sensor wire.

You will need an alignment, though.

If you need new bushings, might I suggest you price the cost of a new Lower A-Arm. I bought 1LE lower A-Arms (yes they are still available in spite of popular rumor) for $130 each and it came with new lower ball joints as well.

It won't save you any money, but it will certainly save you a lot of time and headache.
