Seeking advice: Best replacement Brake pads for 98'-02' F-Body?
I have a 99' Camaro SS. I am a virgin F-Bod owner and am getting ready to re-do the brakes on this dude. I am curious as to the experiences of those who have gone through many have had with different kinds and brands of Pads. Which ones perform better, which ones give little dust or lotsa dust, which ones last longer and so on .....
I am not necessarily looking to do a whole brake upgrade (new calipers and rotors), I am just wanting to 'stick with Detroit' for the most part.
Thanks for any input or advice!
Almost forgot to mention that my rotors are drilled and slotted. Thanks!

HPS's are a well known and good choice. Sell lots of them ($80).
But, I also have and recommend PBR MetalMaster pads for the front as well. They are $60 a set, which is nice but useless if they sucked. Luckily they don't. I use them on my car, and I have ready access to lots of pads.
I find the PBR's to be very similar to HPS, but with a touch better initial bite and lower cost. Strong power, but not overwhelming (you run HP Plus if you want that @ $120 a set). And if you are going..... PBR? Who is PBR? They built the calipers on the car.... and those on the C4, C5, and C6 including the Z06's. And PBR pads are well known for the imported cars for years as well. The minute I could get my hands on them for this car, I tried them and they worked just as well here as they did on the imports.
Either way, I have both (and more).
