Default question about spohn pro series rear drag sway bar

well, i just purchased my spohn rear drag sway bar from byunspeed.com, and i went to install it and barely and i mean BARELY clears the mount that the shocks are on, now i called byunspeed and i talked to a guy from spohn and he told me to just GRIND IT DOWN... will this weaken my part? he said on some moser 12 bolt applications its a tight fit. i dont wanna have to be grinding this down... will this be a problem, or should i get it ground down. it isnt hitting but is damn near close on both sides... he told me usually the clearance is 3/4'', and we are talking millimeters for my application. NEED HELP!!!

If its not hitting yet, just keep an eye on it. If it hits then grind it down. Should not be a problem if the manufacturer is telling you to grind it down.
