Question Can I lower the front of my LS1 without lowering the back?

I'm going for a custom look with my 02 SS, and was wondering if it would be wise to drop the front of my car without dropping the back. I like the "old school" look but am concerned that I might run into problems. What kind of problems would this cause...if any? Handeling issues? Things like that. Any feedback would be appreciated.

I ran on stock rear springs and Hotchkis front springs for a few months because of y-pipe clearance issues. I didn't have any problems and can't really think of any negatives.

Well, it certainly depends on how much you plan on doing. I don't like the front lower than the rear for handling. I prefer the rear about as low or a touch lower. Ride heights effect a number of things. Center of Gravity, roll center heights, and corner weights and caster.

If you keep it within reason you can do it. But I'd never recommend it.
