GMS vs BMR K member

Whats goin on guys, i want to pick up a lightweight k member for my SS...

The only difference i see between the two is what is advertised as a 5 lbs weight difference, bmr 24 - gms 29.

I need some info and some opinions, and if theres another k member on the market, i'd like to know what my options are before i buy one, the stock one is cracked near the a-arm, and i figured i might as well lighten up the front end instead of replacing it with another stock one.

thanks in advance!

ok i guess i should have searched a little more, seems like the welds are breaking on the BMR piece...but i don't see anything about the gms piece.

Anyone know how much a stock k member weighs? I noticed spohn sells solid motor mounts, they claim that saves about 20 lbs alone over the stock mounts, so maybe the difference can be made up there while keeping a strong structure, plus its a cheaper route.

any opinions at all? thanks

My stocker was around 60-65 lbs. My PA Racing K-member was around 25 lbs and was the steel version. Got it at Thunder Racing.

UMI supposedly is working on a piece stout enough for
street duty. I'd read the fine print on the GMS one, if
you can find any. BMR used to claim theirs was street
duty capable but doesn't anymore, now you see a
disclaimer instead. In my opinion GMS plays pretty loose
with their claims on other products and you should be
careful there. Take any disclaimer seriously, they're
trying to tell you something. Like "Pothole, snap!, ouch!".
