Default Clunking noise when braking slowly

If I approach a stop I can hear a clunk noise from what sounds like the middle section of the car as I apply/release the brakes but only if stopping quickly or pumping the brakes. That is, as I'm slowing down, if I pump the brakes, I can replicated the sound. Pump... Clu-Clunk. If I'm slowing very slowly you can't hear anything or will only hear the initial clunk upon application of the brakes - nothing when releasing.

This is the list of things I'll be checking whenever I get the spare time to lift it up:

the poly trans mount
all suspension bushings (the LCAs are getting swapped soon)
strut tower bolts
exhaust mounts
visual of the engine mounts

Anything else?
