Default drag brakes?

i was wondering what brakes you guys with the 15x10 welds are running? i have looked into some drag brakes but they appear to be a grand a wheel..... what setup are you guys running?

you can run stockers and grind down the rear calipers and that will work. or buy strange or aerospace brakes.

yea i have the stockers ground down i just don't really feel it is a safe situation. what is a good place to buy the aerospace or the strange?

What brakes are you looking at?

Aerospace will run you about 1200 for all 4 corners
Strange will be around 1800 and are just a bit lighter.

i would trust stock brakes over drag brakes. and drag brakes are strictly track

how bad are the drag brakes for the street?

True.

They would never make it in an OEM application. They are for a car that isn't going to make it more than a couple miles without an inspection.

I feel the same way man. I actually had to grind down the area where the bolt goes through the backing plate into the caliper. I'm scared to drive down the street, muchless bring it to a stop on the drag strip. I think in certain cases that required extreme carnage to the stock calipers, rear drag brakes are the safer bet.
