Default should i worry about bumpsteer?????

i want to drop my SS about 1-1.5 inches, i want it to handle a lil bit better on turns, but i dont want my ride to be real stiff & bumpy... im thinking about bmr coils all around... i was wondering what shocks would be a nice compliment to these coilovers?
also, should i worry about bumpsteer? i had a 98 mustang gt a couple of years ago, and had it dropped about 1.5"... but everytime i woulde hit a bump, the car would jerk to the side...

input is greatly appreciated.

F-Car front steering geometry is actually pretty good.

While lowering the car does create a little bump steer, it's not as pronounced as you describe.

If you're just lowering the car with springs, I would not worry about it. Changing the height of both inner pivots equally "should" not make the bump change, unless it's already way off. GM has had their front end geometry figured out for quite some time. Just be sure to get an alignment done after you lower the car. If you have access to a bump steer gauge, I guess it wouldn't be a bad idea to check it if you're really concerned that it is close to zero bump.
