Default What are some componets I should stay away from

I am slowly but surely adding bolt-ons as I go. I realize that the weakest part of my car is most likely the rear-end. I think adding some suspension parts to ease the stress back there will help keep me from calling a tow-truck and also lower my 1/4 mile E/T. But what (if any) componets will overly stress, should I stay away from to keep from snapping my a$$-end right in half. And what are the best ways to strengthen a stock rear-end. I know, I know I need to just get a 9" or a 12-bolt, but please humour me. Thanks
