We have seen quite a few crack, usually its when the bolts at the rear end come loose they put the arm in a bind. This either oblongs the holes, bends the rear mount or just cracks it like you have seen. That is most likely what happened. If you looking for a inexpensive replacement and you need any help just send me a message and I will be glad to get you fixed up. We have a nice non-adjustable set-up.

Thank you

if you're going to continue modding the car, id reccomend just springing for the adjustible one now.
you dont need every suspension piece to be adjustible, but the torque arm is one of the ones thats very nice to be able to adjust.

I have this one on my 'bird, and I'm really happy with it. It's way nicer than the factory stamped piece.

Ryan at UMI is also great to work with

I snapped mine right in half once, the rear shifted, my driveshaft was cocked and hitting the tunnel so I pulled over right away but it had already destroyed the seals in the tranny. I got it towed to my buddy's shop and he got a quote for a new stocker from his supplier -$700!! hahah screw that pick up an aftermarket t/a

Im just trying to understand TA's better...is it ok to have a tranny mounted TA if you are pushing decent power...I plan to run atleast 500 to the ground at the track and I just ordered the UMI adjustable tranny mounetd TA over the tunnle set up...mainly for clearance issues. I hope I got the right one.

I second this...The torque arm is very nice. I think the pinion angle on a stock height car is supposed to be -2 degrees and the UMI torque arm comes like that.
