Re: Poll: sway bar or NO sway bar?
What about this for a track combo:
No front swaybar
Prokit front springs
Stock rear springs
Upsized rear swaybar
How difficult is it to swap the rear springs?? How can you tell front stock springs from rear stock springs (now that they are out of the car?)

Re: Poll: sway bar or NO sway bar?
sway bar? no sway bar? i cant really tell a difference on teh street. I dont drive like speed racer around corners, so whats the point?
I have had panic/emergency manuvers WITHOUT the sway bar.... and the car handled fine.
Now, I DO drive like John Force at the track. And there... at the track, is where NOT having it shines.
With a completly stock suspension, except for NO front sway bar, I would cut 1.50 60's.
The stock suspension stuff works great up to a point. As long as you make adjustments to let it work. Like removing that 60' killing front sway bar.

I am deciding on weather I want to keep it on or not...I like whipping around turns...
I drive in my friends car a lot and he doesn't have it on...it does bounce side to side fairly easy and when your doing about 90 on the highway you feel like your in a caddilac...clover leafs are the worst...

Haven't had mine on since November and kind of forgot I took it off, and still drive pretty fast through the turns. If you didn't know any better you'd never guess - but then I've got sportlines and the battery in the back so that changes everything around anyway.

With as easy as it is to disconnect the ends of the sway bar, I would recommend track-testing it. It didn't do squat on my SS, but it did help my friend with a '94 Z28. He was able to pull high 1.8 60' times on regular radials w/ it disconnected.

Re: Poll: sway bar or NO sway bar?
Half the fun I have with my car is cornering so hard I pull the muscles in my neck , it seems like a waste of our car's capabilities to drive on the street without it - but I guess that's just me. As for those of you driving over 100 mph without one - I think you are nuts.
I have had the SS now for close to two years and in that time I can remember two accident-avoidance moves that I could not possibly have pulled off without a front sway bar.
