Rear HALs squeek when set on 4 or 5
Well this weekend I set the rear HALs @5 since the fronts were at 5 I said what the hell I will try the rears at 5. Really didn't like how it felt set at 5, but they would squeek, set it to 4 and same thing. When the HALs are set @3 they don't squeek. Does anyone else have this problem, and WTF is causing it to squeek? TIA Michael

I don't know if we have the same thing, but on lower settings, mine don't necessarily squeak, but I can defiantly hear the oil getting throttled through the shock with the higher settings.
The noise I am referring to I believe is attributed to the oil flow through the shock. The higher you turn the setting, the more the oil flow is going to be restricted, and thus the higher the oil velocity. The higher the liquid velocity, the more noise it is going to make. If you have ever heard a hydraulic control valve work, the sound is identical. I think it is a normal sound for this type of shock.
