I am about to install a set on my 99 Z28

Larger rotor (more swept area)
Larger pads (more swept area)
pad compound (more heat tolerant/better bite)
Fluid and lines maintain what you have for a onger period of time under EXTREME comditions.
So, replacing the F-Body rotor ~12" with a C5 rotor ~13" would yield better brake performance.
Now, to answer your question ...
The caliper mounting bracket geomether is wrong to just fit up C5 rotors. It requires a bracket to be machined to correct that geometry.
LG Motorsports makes a kit for under $500 that will put 13" rotors on your F-Body.
