G2 LCA's + BMR relocation brackets = no workie
Well, I finally completed my LCA swap yesterday. I had been using BMR rubber/poly LCA's and swapped to G2 poly/rod LCA's. Since I'd taken the LCA's in and out a few times without drama, I figured a couple of hours at most (including a couple of beer breaks of course ).
All was going well until I realized that the rod end spacers, when assembled on the rod end with the dust boots and everything, were too wide for my BMR bolt-in relocation brackets. It wasn't a "pound 'em in there" fix either, they were significantly wider (0.200" on the digital calipers). The relocation brackets look to be the same width as the stock LCA attach points, but I've never heard of the LG's not fitting before (this was my first experience with them) nor did I take out the relocation brackets and measure. For fun I tried the poly end in the bracket and it was too wide as well - wider than the BMR's. The BMR LCA's had fit perfectly in the BMR relocation brackets - maybe they'd have been loose in the stock attachments To fix the spacer problem I ended up machining 0.100" off the big end of each spacer and they fit like a charm.
Onto the next problem: while the stock and the G2 ends use a 12mm bolt, the BMR brackets use a 1/2" bolt. Of course that means my 1/2" grade 8 bolts from BMR don't work with the 12mm rod end spacers - they're a whopping 0.027" too big So its a trip to the local fastener shop for a couple of 12mm x 100mm x 1.5 pitch class 10.9 bolts and nylock nuts...
After all is said and done it fits great and works well so far (haven't really had a chance to do much driving with it yet). Just thought I'd post this up and maybe save someone else the same headaches

The BMR parts are built a little smaller than OEM, so when you tighten them down, the bracket gets pinched in.
The G2 stuff is actually made a few thou larger for a positive, slop free fit. When you take the smaller bracket from BMR, and the G2 part, you get exactly what you ran into.
Glad to see that you were able to figure it out. You will love those parts, your car will be totally new!

Fulton,
Thanks for making this post. I would have been right behind you this winter. It's not worth the hassle, so I'll get the LG relo brackets since I was going to get their arms anyway.

Re: G2 LCA's + BMR relocation brackets = no workie
just to add to this,
I had the exact same problem when i made the mistake of buying the bmr poly/poly arms.
I went to the G2's afterwards, but I never installed the bmr relocation brackets, all i had to do was widen my stock brackets with some BFwrenches. I did buy the G2 relocation brackets instead of just installing the bMR's that I had layign around, because i was disgusted with thier method of using spacers to fit mount the lca's. My car deserves better.
and now that I installed the G2 arms, I always think twice about buying cheaper, built for the average guy parts. G2 remembered that cars have steering wheels and engineered that into their parts... I cant say that about the parts.....
If you still havent noticed a HUGE difference, go take some turns under accelleration, and notice how much traction you've just gained, instead of just in a straight line.

Hi. I'm getting ready for 4:10 and looking into the LCA's. I think I'm talked out of the BMR. Thanks. Now, what are the G2's and where do you get these?
