Default KVR drilled or slotted rotors? or others??

hi,
i was looking for brake rotors and found the KVR drilled for a good price ($108 for front rotrs each)

i have no idea wether to get drilled, slotted, or blanks...

my pads are still good, replaced them 6 months ago but the car shakes and vibrates bad when hitting the brakes, so i think it's the rotors, right?

if i change the pads, what are some good ones that have zero dust to them?

thnaks in advance,

When my stock rotors warped I replaced them with KVR drilled rotors. They have worked fine for me, but I don't work them hard either. IMO, the drilled rotors look better and are fine for street use. If you do any autox/rr then you should probably go with the blanks. I've been very happy with the KVR's as a stock replacement rotor.

Drilled/slotted rotors are pretty much show pieces.
If you are going to some serious racing/autox, go
with solid rotors. If you just want a little bit
of show, drilled/slotted will be fine.

Check out EBC rotors and pads. I just put them
on my Z28 a few weeks ago, and so far I am pretty
impressed. They are dimpled(not drilled all the
way through) and slotted. QTP---> has them in
stock now from what I understand.

Good luck with whatever you decide on.

NaSSty,
I had missed your PM. Sorry. PM'ed you back.

Oh, and I'm using the stock pads in the rear and Performance Frictions in front. I've not tried any others, so I can't really compare. I think the PF's are comparable to stock in all categories (noise, dusting, and grip).

With the stock pads, I warped the factory rotors at less than 10k miles, and my problem was just what you're describing. I replaced them with KVR blanks, and haven't had a problem one, though, as Fulton mentioned, I don't work them as hard as many of the other folks on here do.

In my case, I just wanted something as inexpensive as possible. I have heard stories of the cross-drilled pieces developing cracks, so that was just another reason for me to go with the blanks.
