DS loop and exhaust clearance
I had to remove my crossbrace after installing an SLP Y-pipe because it no longer cleared the collector. Are there similar fitment issues with either the BMR or SLP driveshaft loops? They both seem to have some extra space there but is it enough? Anybody have experience with this?

Re: DS loop and exhaust clearance
You can still use the stock cross brace if you want, use enough flat washers ( 1/2"-3/4" ) at all four corners and that will drop the crossbrace enough. I can't remember what size the bolts ( metric ) are but we just went to AutoZone and bought some longer ones ( again metric ). I installed a SLP driveshaft loop on a friends SS that also has the SLP y-pipe, there where no clearance problems and it's heavyduty piece.

Re: DS loop and exhaust clearance
I checked out the Lakewood DS loop, it's a great idea but I also want something to replace the missing crossmember and the Lakewood loop doesn't do that. As far as shimming the stock crossmember, that was suggested to me by a friend but I found I'd need a whole lot of washers to help clear the Y-pipe. Mine sits very low for some reason.
I think I'm going to go with the SLP loop and hope that the extra clearance from my new SFCs helps some. I'll let you know how it works! <img border="0" title="" alt="[Smile]" src="gr_stretch.gif" />
