what suspension Kit should I consider?
I have read much on this page concerning suspensions, and have taken the information much to heart. However, I am now ready to purchase either upgraded suspension parts, or a suspension upgrade kit. Throughout all of the brands I have seen critised, I am very keen on either going with SLP, Kenny Brown, or G2. To make things simple these are the things I am looking for:
1. Improved street performance without much needed maintenance.(i.e. "race only" parts would most likely be out of the question, since many of their parts are high maintenance and not really intended for street use.)
2. Improved overall street performance without much compromise in other areas (i.e. I would like to improve acceleration/braking suspension performance without compromising cornering, or vice versa.)
3. I am aware that there is much more to the vehicles performance than suspension, but in those areas, I have seem to find an easier time in the upgrade in parts such as upgraded brake parts, transmission parts, engine components, tires, etc. Handling is where I am looking to improve, and yes, I am aware of "no free lunches"
From what I have read all over many reviews the G2 seems to be really one of the more bonafide suspension upgrades that I am keenly considering. I have heard and read many reviews and seem to find that 1LE parts are really difficult to out perform by most aftermarket manufacturers. Any feelings, experiences, criticisms are welcome.

I cannot really compare bet SLP and KB because I have never had any experience with them. I went with all G2 Parts (except for SLP Bilsteins and Hypercoils). Iwould highly reccomend a set of Hypercoils paired with Bilsteins to start with (they are both pretty cheap right now from the sponsors). For sure you will want to add SFC's as soon as possible too. My setup is G2 LCAs, Adj.PHR, LCA relocating brackets, Hypercoils, SLP Bilsteins, And G2 SFCs. I could not be more happy.

Re: what suspension Kit should I consider?
I'm running H&R stage 2 springs, Koni double adjustable shocks, SLP subframe connectors (weld in), BMR strut tower brace, BMR chromoly control arms and panhard rod (with heim joints on both ends, not poly bushings). The strut tower brace is the bang for the buck winner for making our cars "more solid". The subframe connectors will make them nearly "hardtop like". The stock control arms are flimsy and flex alot, same for the panhard rod. The lower control arms with poly bushings tend to bind the rear axle (when one wheel hits a pothole, the other tries to move with it, the axle can't rotate). The tradeoff is noise, the rod ends and loud and you need to clean and lube them once in a while, the poly is much quieter (not as quiet as stock). The good news it that my car is a whole different animal since I changed the suspension parts, but it's much louder inside (over bumps and such). You will need to decide what you want to accomplish and how much noise and maintenence you will put up with. There are lots of good parts out there (everyone you mentioned has a good reputation), shop carefully and have fun. P.S. For an alignment, I am running 1.3 degrees of negative camber, 4.5 degrees of castor and 1/16th inch of total toe out (this will wear your tires on the street). I hope this helps....Good luck....

Re: what suspension Kit should I consider?
Great answers. Now that I'm down to that. I've actually have another thing that comes to mind. How expensive and time consuming would it be to maintain the rod ends on the trailing arms and panhard bar?
Also, are aftermarket K-members and upper and lower front control arms really worth the cost time and effort? I've read in several other places that if the vehicle is mainly used for street performance, they are practically a waste of money and sometimes have reliability issues.

Maintaining the rodends with the G2 parts is really not a big deal. They use a high quality, long lasting rodend. Some out there have over 30k miles on their rodends. Mitchntx can vouch for that.
As for the uppers and lowers, unless you need more camber, or less weight, the lowers are not something to get right away.

I have had ZERO issues with my G2 rod end LCAs with 20K miles as opposed to 30K. <img border="0" title="" alt="[Wink]" src="gr_images/icons/wink.gif" />
If you are on the fence about which brand to buy, do what I did ...
I searched the classifieds of this and the "other" board looking for G2 parts for sale. I found very, very few.
I then searched on the other brands and found a LOT of each brand.
That was an indicator that those who purchased the G2 parts were very happy with them and just didn't sell them.
Another thing is that Lou Gigliotti developed the G2 suspension parts on a track, on a 4th gen F-Body and won 3 World Challenge Championships in the process. You cannot argue with that kind of success.
I haven't seen those credentials on BMR, SLP or KB suspension parts ...
I found out the hard way that suspension tuning is much more complicated than I ever anticipated. I cobbled together a hodge-podge of suspension parts based upon price first, thinking that a suspension part was a suspension part. Not true and I wasted a boat load of cash because of my ignorance.
Do yourself a favor ... talk with LOU at LG Motorsports, tell him what you want to accomplish and ask him to quote you a package price.

Re: what suspension Kit should I consider?
Thank you so much. The reason I was thinking that maybe that Kenny Brown or SLP was ever up for consideration is that Kenny Brown manufactured many kits for mustangs (and that's the assumption that serves the biggest evil of all) and SLP manufactured a GM approved aftermarket kit for the Camaro (from the factory says it all).
Thanks a lot for the advice. I hate to mention that I learned from others' mistakes, but in this case I learned from others' wisdom.

What I learned (the hard way) is a lot of manufacturers take information from and pattern parts after what is available and works on other platforms to make it fit and F-Body.
That just isn't the correct way to do things ...
