Show me pics of your car with KBDD SFC's!
Anyone?
I'm looking to see various shots of cars fitted with Kenny Brown double diamond sub-frame connectors, mainly shots from the side. I want to get a feel for how they hang. I think I'm going to pick up a pair this weekend.
Feel free to add your comments as well!
Thanks!
Shane

Here's a pic of my car with KBDD's. As you can see you really can't see them at all. They tuck up really well & the car feels so much more solid, like night & day, especially going over bumps & railroad tracks.

Do you have LT headers or are you running the stock set-up?
If you are running LT's with y-pipe combo what kind of clearance issues do you have, if any?

I have FLP LT headers, ORP, & y-pipe on my car along with a Magnaflow catback. So far I haven't had any clearance issues because the FLP's tuck up so well. I did have to get a drivers side custom y-pipe to fit the KBDD's & that's what hangs down the lowest. I have about 3" maybe a little less of ground clearance at the lowest point but I have yet to have any problems. The pro kit really dropped my car.

I don't have any pics of the underneath of my car yet. Hopefully I'll have some soon. I forgot to take some when I was having the work done. When the rest of the suspension goes in I'll do it.

Sweet!! Thanx for the pic Sunset. I'm gonna put in my order today for them.
What do you think about me putting on a coat of primer then some gloss black? I've got a NBM SS and I'm not sure about the zinc SFC's
Thanx agian

Consider this mod. You will be welding your KB's to the pinch welds under the doors at two points close to the middle of the doors. Due to production variables that all f-body's have, that's all KB felt they could match up to. Cut some similar stock to the SFC's[1 inch sq.] to fit the gap between the SFC's and the pinch welds closest to the 4 wheel wells and weld them in. On the pass. fr. you'll actually be connecting the pinch weld to the sub frame. This is radically stiffer because it shortens the leaverage arm of the SFC's.

Hey Shane, it wouldn't be a problem at all to paint them. After they were installed of course the welds were painted & there was no problem. I just didn't paint them completely because like I said you can't really even see them.

Re: Show me pics of your car with KBDD SFC's!
I am so looking forward to these sfc's!! One question though... I just thought about it.. I have a Flowtech cutout with a McCord power plate.. anyone have any problems with that? It's mounted in the normal place in front of the rear tire.
As for the painting, I think that I'll go that route since I've got a SS and am lacking the ground effects that the TA's have.
Anyone have any pics with these on a SS?
Thanks again,
Shane
