Re: sfc's help fast please!!!

It sounds like whoever installed them didn't do the drivers side right. If the passenger's side sits flat, then it stand to reason the the driver's side would be the same. I have bolt-ons but both sides sit flush up against the body. I do all the welding on my car and yes, filling weld "works." BUT, if it were MY car, I would grind the welds, grind the surface flush (back to stock), and reweld it.

sfc's help fast please!!!

i got my sfc's welded in and on the passenger side it sits real good and there is, on the inside about 2 inches of weld and on the driver side there is an inch on the inside and inch on the top. is this good enough or should i have more weld put on? i hear a little rattle still from the driver ttop is that normal? i just wanna make sure it was done right and well enough to work. also the driver side doesnt seat too well there is a little gap on the outside is this ok? please let me konw! thanks

Re: sfc's help fast please!!!

This might be a dumb question but how was the car lifted? Was it on a jack? Was it sitting on 4 jackstands or 2? Was it on lift? Was the car raised and equal amount in the air. If all that is good then the next question would be, do you know the history of the car since new? Accidents? If everything checks out then I would go with the previous post and reweld everything. Just my .02

cool....I thought something had to be off to make them not mount the same.

98DroptopSS made a good point. Did the guy weld them with the car on a drive on lift or pit, or did he do it on jack stands or the finger lifts? Preferubly you want it on the pit or the drive on so the body is reasting on the suspention. If not, it could potentially put the body in a bind.

Glad it worked out,

Chris

yeah it was on a lift that put the whole car in the air but the contact point was all 4 wheels, so he did something right...lol, thanks again
